LEVELS

According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which is accepted as the international language teaching system, a language has six levels. These levels are named as A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2. It is possible to learn Turkish at all levels of language teaching of Dr. Furkan Kurt.

While A1 and A2 levels include basic level language skills, B1 and B2 levels measure intermediate level language skills, and C1 and C2 levels measure advanced level language skills. Each of these levels indicates a certain level of language proficiency in terms of reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.

Level A1

At A1 level, students learn Turkish at a basic level. At this level, students learn simple words and phrases that they can use in daily life. Some topics that can be learned at this level are:

• Introducing yourself:

You can share basic information such as name, age, nationality, profession, etc.

• Expressing your own needs: You can express your basic needs such as ordering food, asking for directions, etc.

• Simple verbs and words: You can learn the most commonly used verbs and words.

• Simple dialogues: You can understand and use simple dialogues used in daily life.

Level A2

At the A2 level, students further develop their basic Turkish language skills. Students at this level learn to use more complex sentences. Some topics that can be learned at this level are as follows:

• Everyday topics: You can understand and express topics encountered in daily life such as at home, at work, while shopping, during travel, etc.

• More complex verbs and words: By learning more complex verbs and words, you can have a more comprehensive vocabulary.

• More complex dialogues: You can understand and respond to more complex dialogues.

Kapadokya

Level B1

At the B1 level, students learn Turkish at an intermediate level. Students at this level learn more complex sentence structure and grammar rules. Some of the topics that can be learned at this level are:

• Developing speaking and writing skills: You learn to construct more complex sentences, write longer texts, and speak fluently.

• Broadening topics: You gain the ability to speak on a wide range of topics.

• Making comments and arguing: You can express your opinions and gain the ability to debate.

Level B2

Students at the B2 level can use Turkish almost fluently and have a comprehensive vocabulary. They have a good command of grammar rules and can understand various uses of the language. At this level, students can use Turkish in daily life, at work, and at school. At the B2 level, students acquire skills in the following areas:

• Comprehension and analysis of complex written and oral texts

• Expressing their thoughts and opinions clearly and understandably

• Writing creatively, including stories and articles

• Managing discussions, refuting arguments, and understanding different viewpoints

• Understanding different types of language, such as literary, academic, or commercial texts.

Level C1

Students at the C1 level can use Turkish fluently and naturally. These students are highly proficient in grammar and vocabulary and can analyze Turkish texts and understand complex vocabulary. At this level, students can use Turkish for academic or professional purposes. At the C1 level, students acquire skills in the following areas:

• Comprehension and interpretation of complex reading materials

• Writing in different types of language (literary, academic, or professional texts)

• Competence in creative writing

• Ability to give oral presentations and manage discussions

• Ability to express subjective opinions and ideas clearly and coherently

• Comprehensive knowledge of Turkish culture and literature

Level C2

At the C2 level, students can use Turkish fluently and effectively. They have an exceptional command of grammar and vocabulary, enabling them not only to comprehend but also to critically analyze complex Turkish texts.

At this level, students have the ability to use Turkish for advanced academic, professional, and creative purposes, showcasing their linguistic versatility.

 

C2 level students have honed their skills in various areas, including:

• Proficiency in comprehending and interpreting exceedingly complex reading materials, effortlessly tackling intricate literary or specialized texts.

• Mastery of various writing styles, whether it involves crafting elegant literary prose, composing rigorous academic papers, or producing polished professional documents.

• Adeptness in creative writing, allowing for the imaginative expression of ideas with finesse and sophistication.

• Exceptional oral communication skills, enabling them to deliver articulate and compelling oral presentations and adeptly steer high-level discussions.

• The capacity to express subjective opinions and intricate ideas with absolute clarity and coherence, even when addressing complex and abstract subjects.

• An encompassing understanding of Turkish culture and literature, which extends beyond mere familiarity to a deep and nuanced appreciation of the country's rich heritage and artistic contributions.

In essence, students at the C2 level have attained the highest echelon of Turkish language proficiency, demonstrating not only linguistic excellence but also a profound understanding and integration of Turkish within the cultural and intellectual context.
